Experience Strategy / Technical Producer (m/f/x)

Cologne

Creative heart. Production brain.

At borabora studios, we’re looking for an Experience Strategy / Technical Producer who can dream big and make it happen.
You’ll help shape and deliver tech-driven, immersive experiences that feel effortless, magical, and leave people buzzing.

You’ll work directly with our Creative & Technical Director, steering projects from that first spark all the way to launch — balancing creativity with precision, and helping the whole team bring bold ideas into the real world.
It’s a role for someone who loves the how just as much as the what.

What you’ll be up to:

Lead Experience Strategy

Define the creative and technical roadmap for projects. Make sure everything — from the story to the tech stack — aligns with both vision and reality.

Project and Production Leadership

Take ownership of projects end-to-end: scopes, budgets, timelines, delivery. Keep the team flowing, keep the vibe high, and get things across the finish line beautifully.

Experience Design Thinking

Champion the user experience: understand the journey, design for emotion, and make sure every detail feels intentional, whether it’s physical, digital, or somewhere in between.

Client Collaboration

Be a key face to the client: pitch ideas, set expectations, navigate feedback, and keep projects aligned to goals while keeping the magic intact.

Creative and Technical Integration

Work side-by-side with creatives, designers, developers, and technical partners to make sure ideas are both visionary and buildable.

Problem Solving and Adaptation

Anticipate challenges. Solve problems. Adapt plans without losing sight of the creative essence.

Presentation and Documentation

Confidently present roadmaps, experience strategies, and updates internally and externally. Keep project documentation clean, clear, and accessible.

Team Coordination and Mentorship

Support and guide internal team members, freelancers, and partners to bring out their best work.

What you bring:

  • 5+ years experience in creative project management, technical production, experience strategy, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of interactive and immersive environments — museums, installations, digital experiences, experiential spaces, etc.
  • Portfolio or case studies showing your ability to lead projects from vision through delivery.
  • Great communication skills — clear, inspiring, and real — when pitching ideas and steering client conversations.
  • Comfortable managing budgets, scopes, and timelines without losing your creative fire.
  • Familiarity with both 2D/3D creative workflows and production pipelines.
  • Solid knowledge of how physical builds and digital components come together in real-world spaces.
  • An instinct for great experience design — user-centered thinking, emotional storytelling, tech innovation.

Bonus points if you’re into:

  • Themed entertainment, hospitality spaces, cruise ships, or experiential installations.
  • AR/VR/MR, gaming, or interactive storytelling.
  • Hands-on familiarity with prototyping tools, creative tech, or experiential development platforms.

About you:

You’re humble, reliable, creative, technical, and crazy enough to believe we can always push things a little further.
You’re the go-to person who can keep both big ideas and big realities in balance.

You’re fluent in managing creative chaos into beautiful order — making sure work stays bold without getting bogged down.

You’re just as comfortable dreaming with artists as you are planning with producers. You can jam on creative sessions and then flip into detailed Gantt charts, documentation, and supplier calls without missing a beat.

You’re hands-on when needed, strategic when required, and you always keep your eyes on delivering an experience that blows people away.

You’re not looking for just another job — you’re looking to help shape a studio and build a place you actually love working at.

Same here.

Let’s make it happen.

Life on the Island.

Knowledge & Training

Knowledge is key, thats why we encourage and promote personal training, visits to events, exhibits and more.

Research & Development

We foster a strong R&D culture. Learning, researching, failing often and early. Trying and error. On our time, not on clients time.

Making Dreams come alive

Sounds like fancy AI generated blurb? We got a workshop and the skills to actually bring projects to live, teammates are dreaming off. Stop dreaming, start building.

Hands on

We bring all the various teams together multiple times a year to get their hands dirty in different fields, to learn, to jump into diffrent areas and to foster teamwork

Remote Work or Home Office?

We are a physical-first company as we build IRL experiences, all our team members are located close to our offices. We encourage non-media breaking meetings. Meaning all physical, or all online.

Fridays

During Summer Fridays, spanning from the last Monday of May to the first Monday of September, we encourage our team to conclude their workday early, fostering a balance between work and leisure.

Self Control and self management

Most decisions can be taken by our teammembers, Creditcard allowances, travel, purchases, taking time off. If it feels right, it usually is.
